The beach of “El Palmar”, located only 12 km from the town of Vejer, is, due to its unique characteristics, one of the favorite beaches for surf lovers.

Expert surfers usually come to practice this sport between the months of October to April, as this is when the waves reach the highest heights. For beginners or intermediate level, the ideal conditions are during the months of May to September. However, throughout the year you can surf depending on the easterly wind, which often favors the conditions for catching waves.

Numerous schools are located along the road on the beachfront of this beach. They offer courses and board rentals.
