During the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries was the place for the celebration of various bullfighting festivals on the initiative of the noblemen and gentlemen of Vejer amount.<\/p><p>In 1955 a fountain was built in the center of the square made of Sevillian tiles, and since then it is popularly known as Pl. de los Pesca\u00edtos. Durante los siglos XVI y XVII fue lugar destinado para la celebraci\u00f3n de los distintos festejos taurinos por iniciativa de los hidalgos y caballeros de cuant\u00eda de Vejer. En 1955 se construy\u00f3 una fuente en el centro de la plaza realizada a base de azulejos sevillanos, y desde entonces es conocida popularmente como la Pl. de los Pesca\u00edtos.
